With over 17 years of experience in small molecule synthesis and process development, he leads VB Chemical Research in driving the transformation of innovative ideas into life-changing medicines in drug discovery through comprehensive research and manufacturing services.
An accomplished organic chemist with 22 scientific publications and three patents, he holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, specializing in synthetic organic, organometallic, medicinal, and process chemistry. His expertise is further enriched by prestigious research fellowships, including the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at the University of Oxford and the JSPS Fellowship at Kyoto University, Japan. He was also honored as an outstanding reviewer by Chemical Communications for 2020-2021. His current roles on the editorial boards of Letters in Organic Chemistry and Mini-Reviews in Organic Chemistry, further demonstrating his influence in the field.
Before founding VB Chemical Research, he held key positions as a Research Chemistry Manager at Obiter Research and a Research Scientist at FibroGen, Inc. He also served as a postdoctoral researcher at several prestigious academic institutions, including Northwestern University (US), the University of Oxford (UK), the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST, South Korea), and Kyoto University (Japan).
